Thanks for leaving the creek better than you found it! Saturday, September 16, 2000 was a perfect day for a clean-up on Ashville Bridge Creek. The air was cool and crisp with billowy white clouds that usually accompany the onset of Fall. Egrets and turtles watched with interest as the parade of canoes with those unpredictable creatures that call themselves humans slowly picked and prodded, sometimes ramming the banks, even straining with nets to retrieve the items members of the same species had previously discarded. Imagine where our creative powers will take us once the trash and pollutants are gone and harmony restored!
