Back Bay Restoration Foundation's mission is to preserve, protect, and improve Back Bay and its watershed through education, stewardship, and outreach.

Water Quality Monitoring with Virginia DEQ (volunteers needed)
- Watershed Advocacy and Stewardship
- Political Activism: co-plantiffs in civil action suit opposing the construction of a marina on the north end of Back Bay NWR
- Pollution Prevention Programs (including Virginia Beach's Adopt-A-Street (volunteers needed))
